Mass in the Extraordinary Form

Dear Australian Bishops
Many years ago I took up the defence of Vatican 2 and the Novus Ordo Mass. I corresponded with the SSPX and leaders of the Latin Mass Society.
However, some of their arguments caused me considerable difficulty.
For example, they could argue that Communion in the hand and under both Kinds were introduced via disobedience, that is, via sin. This did not square with the claim that they were inspired by the Holy Spirit, as if God is capable of inspiring sin.
Then there is the problem of Quo Primum, which provides severe penalties for those attempting to overthrow the Tridentine Mass.
But the biggest problem I faced was the claim that the Novus Ordo was compiled by a non-Catholic archbishop, supported by a team of Protestants.
This information is so well-known that I have not compiled an extensive list of supporting links, but if this is needed I should be happy to do so.
I am not aware that any of the facts are in doubt.
Now we see that the Vatican is trying to reduce or remove the Traditional Latin Mass. My question is whether Australian Bishops should reject this pressure and instead be trying to promote it instead.
Which of these options is likely to assist in the salvation of souls?
