Tax rebate

Dear Senator Roberts
I believe many Australians are concerned at the endless tax grabs and the wasteful grants to golf clubs.
It seems to me that it might not be inappropriate if an incoming government decided to use royalties on mineral wealth sold overseas to pay the tax bills of ordinary Australians.
Any money left over could be credited to the bank accounts of taxpayers.
I believe that Norway does something like this with North Sea Oil.
I should be surprised if such a move proved unpopular with taxpayers.
It should not be difficult to implement. But the Greens and the ABC won't like it.
