The abomination of cross-dressing

Dear Australian Bishops

The last few years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of men who openly dress as women, and who even claim to be women, to the extent of invading spaces we normally reserve for women.  They also seem to gravitate to the spaces around little children.

The Church does not consider this a trivial matter.  The Bible calls cross-dressers 'abominable'.

A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel: for he that doeth these things is abominable before God.

What can we do about this abomination?  I believe that our Catholic hierarchy should speak out now, and eliminate any doubt as to the evil presented by these people.  If we let it go, who knows where it will lead?  Is it possible that women will see our misguided tolerance and start wearing garments which look much like trousers?

I may be wrong.  Perhaps this Catholic teaching has been abrogated.  If so, please advise.
